McDonald's Eyes Beijing Airport
|
10-Feb-2002 - |
McDonald's, the American fast food giant, plans to open an outlet in Beijing's international airport, according to an airport stuff. Negotiations are underway at present, and if everything goes on smoothly, the new McDonald's restaurant could be opened late this year, said Cao Runmin, real estate manager of airport company. The airport receives a total of 21 million passengers annually. But for a long time, passengers have been complaining about the overpriced food at restaurants at the airport. The arrival of McDonald's will force those restaurants to lower their price and take part in fair competition. McDonald's just opened an outlet in Shanghai Hongqiao Airport two days ago, and its first day sales were satisfactory. |
