Mobile Home Rental Agency for Tourists Set up in Yunnan

A mobile home rental agency has been set up in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, claiming to be the first in the Chinese mainland. The agency's automotive mobile home, equipped with toilet, kitchen, air conditioner, refrigerator, TV set and furniture, can be rented for 1,200 yuan (145.11 US dollars) per day, said the agency. The agency currently has five mobile homes available for rent and plans to have 50 by this summer. The agency was established in mid-March to meet the growing demand for mobile home travel, said Wang Yufeng, chairman of the board of CenTech Specialty Vehicles Co., Ltd., the agency's sponsor. Apart from the rental fee, tourists must simply pay the entry fees to tourist sites. In this way, they can avoid the overcrowded hotels during peak vacation seasons, he added. The agency also sells mobile homes for about 450,000 yuan (54,400 US dollars) each. Wang said the company set up its first outlet in Kunming due tothe booming tourism industry in Yunnan, a well-known scenic province in China. |
