More than 40 aeronautic and space companies have placed orders or submitted applications for attending the fourth China Air Show scheduled to be held in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, on November 4-10.

The companies include Boeing of the United States, Airbus and CFM of France, European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) and Rolls-Royce of Britain, said air show organizers.

Other companies from the Netherlands, Austria, Singapore and Italy have also expressed willingness to attend the air show, a biennial event, said the organizers.

EADS has rented in advance a 900 square meter platform to exhibit their products at the air show, and the "Swift" flight show team from the Russian Federal Air Force will entertain audiences with a "ballet in the air" in five Mig-29 fighter planes.

Makers of short-distance passenger planes and business planes from the U.S., Canada and Brazil, as well as giants such as Boeing and Airbus will exhibit their latest products or research achievements at the show.

The fourth China Air Show will be jointly hosted by eight organizations, including the Chinese Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and the Zhuhai city government.
