More Tourists Flocking to Tibet

The Statistics Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region says some 505,000 visitors travelled to the region, an increase of 3 times over the same period of last year.
The bureau says domestic visitors mainly came from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Sichuan. Foreign visitors mainly came from the U.S., Japan, Germany, France and Britain.
The director of Tibet Tourism Administration says Tibet is attracting more visitors this year due to improvements in the region's infrastructure ,service and promotion.
