Ningxia Promotes "Countryside Tourism"

The second "Liupanshan Mountain Wildflower Travel Festival" will open on April 29th at the Red Army's Long March Memorial Hall located at Liupanshan Mountain. This is the first event of the region's promotional campaign for "countryside tourism," which is this year's focus in China according to the National Tourism Administration.
Red Tourism Around China
The countryside of Ningxia is blessed with rich tourism resources, said Li Chunyang, director of the Ningxia Tourism Administration. Guided tours with the theme of "fun with the farmers" have been popular for years, and will contribute to the promotion of "countryside tourism."
These countryside tours in Ningxia follow two main routes and cover the whole region, presenting the culture of the Hui ethnic group and the simple and quiet rural life of the locals.
Events in this year's "Liupanshan Mountain Wildflower Travel Festival" include a flower-viewing and sightseeing trip up the mountain, a photography contest, a mountain climbing contest, as well as a concert to pay tribute to the Red Army's Long March that took place 70 years ago. |
