Olympic flame tours China's oil city

HARBIN, China, July 12 (Xinhua) -- The Olympic flame was relayed in China's oil city Daqing, northernmost province Heilongjiang, on Saturday morning.
Daqing, a ctiy famous for rich natural resources, has produced more than two billion tons of crude oil during the past decades.
Hu Zhiqiang, a youth oilfield driller, ran the first leg of the torch relay in a drizzle at 8:20 a.m..
"I'm joyous to be a torch bearer, and all the honor and glory belong to the heroic Daqing people," Hu said.
Hu is managing the No.1205 drill team of Daqing city, which the well-known "Iron Man" Wang Jinxi used to be in charge of.
Wang Jinxi, a well-known oil driller, who devoted himself to oil exploitation, was commended as "Iron Man" and became famous model worker across the country in the 1960s and 70s.
Like countless Chinese ordinary people, Hu and his co-workers are impelled by "Iron Man" Wang's hard-working spirit to contribute to China's economic construction.
