PG expands network in China

Bangkok Airways (PG) is planning to fly to two new destinations ¨C Nangjing and Hangzhou ¨C from Bangkok, bringing to five the total number of cities that it serves in China. Speaking at PG's 36th anniversary celebration in Bangkok last night, president and CEO, Dr Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, said the new services were part of a bigger plan to develop an extensive network in China. We would like to be serving all the major tourist destinations in China, but for the time being we are happy to be going to Jinghong, Guilin and Xian and starting April 1, to Nangjing and Hangzhou in North-east China Dr Prasert told reporters. PG will use a Boeing717-200 configured with 120 economy-class seats and will fly to each of the two new destinations twice weekly, via Guilin. The arrival of the 150-seat Airbus A320 arrives in September will enable non-stop flights and eliminate the stop in Guilin. |
