Shenzhen City Attracts Tourists Worldwide

Shenzhen had a tourist income of more than 35.5 billion yuan (US$4.3 billion), and earned US$1.723 billion in foreign exchange, ranked as the third and fourth respectively in the country. There were more than 15.2 million visitors last year. Of the 4.4935 million overseas tourists, 805,900 foreign visitors stayed overnight, 3.1987 million visitors were from Hong Kong and Macao, and 488,900 were from Chinaa?s Taiwan. The city has more than 50 scenic spots, 40 travel agencies, more than 260 hotels, 450 hostels and inns, and 11 golf clubs. In one day, the city can accommodate about 100,000 people. Tourisma?s six areas, food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, recreation and shopping, have all developed well, with 120,000 employed in this industry and with fixed assets of 20 billion yuan. The most famous tourist attractions include Splendid China, China Folk Culture Villages, Window of the World, Happy Valley, Evergreen Resort, Fairy Lake Botanical Garden, Honey Lake, Shenzhen Safari Park, Shenzhen Waterland Resort and Minsk World Military Theme Park. |
