Short message to notify Hangzhou passport applicants

The Hangzhou public security bureau and the local branch of China Mobile launched a new service on Mar.1 by which passport application results will be transmitted by phone short message. According to the entry-exit administration of Hangzhou, starting from March 1, local residents applying for passports or for travel authorization for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, will be notified of the results through short messages from the phone number "13588889696". The local exit-entry administration has made great efforts in the area of information technology. It has established a computerized hotline to provide local residents with the latest information on procedures for exiting the country or traveling abroad. Applicants can also input their identification card numbers to track the status of their applications. |
