TUI-China expands network in China
|
30-Apr-2004 - |
Joint-venture company TUI-China has signed a deal with GDCTS, the No.1 tour operator in Guangdong province, to be its franchisee in China's most vigorous southern province. This agreement follows the same partnership signed with Shanghai's partner Shanghai Airlines Tours International just one month ago. TUI-China's chief operating officer Li Huiyang told TravelWeekly that TUI-China is planning to develop 31 franchisees in China by the end of this year or early next year. This will allow TUI-China to build up a service network across China under the TUI-China brand. Li said TUI-China would launch a training programme for the Chinese staff starting from May or June. To find proper staff is very challenging for us. We must undergo training to have our Chinese partner understand TUI's operation and meet with TUI's service standard. It is really a big project, he said. He disclosed that TUI-China is ready to open charter flights from Germany to China's four cities this year. |
