Tallest Building in Beijing Being Erected

Construction began this week on what is expected to be the tallest building in Beijing. The building, when finished, will stand 250 meters high.
The Silvertie Center is located in the Central Business District, consisting of three towers, with the center tower having 63 stories.
The total area of the project covers 350 thousand square meters and is expected to be complete in 2007.
The main part will be used as high end apartments and a luxury hotel. The other two buildings will be used as office space with conference and recreational facilities available for the busy cosmopolitan types.
