Tea picking festival in Hubei

An 18-year-old girl of the Tujia ethnic minority group picks tea in Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, central China's Hubei Province yesterday, to celebrate the traditional Tujia Tea Picking Festival which falls on the same day as Qingming Festival -- April 5. The festival is intended to commemorate the ancestor of the Tujia ethnic minority.
A local girl of Tujia ethnic group comes out of the sedan chair during the tea sacrificial ceremony in Wufeng Tujia Autononous County, central China's Hubei province, April 5, 2006. The traditional Tujia festival of tea picking is held in the county every year around the Qingming festival, as the county is a brand tea produce base with a tea-planting area of 8,067 hectares.
