The Lord of The Rings Heats up Kiwi Travel
|
24-Mar-2004 - |
The third and final film of the Oscar winning epic The Lord of the Rings has spurred Beijinger's enthusiasm for travel to New Zealand, where the magic masterpiece was shot.
Many local travel agents have introduced "The Ring Trip," which gives travelers the chance to see some of the locations the film used in portraying Middle Earth.
The price of the 13-day-trip is nearly one and a half times the cost of usual trips to New Zealand. However, reports suggest that its popularity is increasing nonetheless.
With 11 Oscar awards, the trilogy's finale has cleaned up at box offices across China with record earnings only a week after it was released in cinemas.
