Tourism income reached 2.254 billion

Statistics show that GuangZhou received 4.9986 million visitors during the May Day Holiday while the scenery spots received 9.122 million visitors, up 8.5% compared with the same period last year. Owing to 70% residents traveling in Guangzhou, the local consumption rose up. The income of catering and retail exceeded the corresponding period last year. According to the statistics, the total tourism income reached 2.254 billion yuan during the holiday. The total turnover of 13 appointed catering enterprises and 13 appointed retail enterprises reached 32.32 million yuan and 314.19 million yuan, up 12.34% and 25.32% respectively. |
