Tourists Can Soon Fly over Mt. Lushan
|
18-Jun-2004 - |
Mount Lushan of central China's Jiangxi Province, is to further develop it's tourism industry, adding flying tours to its list of attractions. As early as later this year tourists can look down Lushan Mountain and Boyang Lake from helicopters. The scheme aims to attract those who want to experience touring in a unique manner and also those who suffer from carsickness as bobbing over 400 swerves over 35 kilometers can be quite an ordeal. The Jiujiang City, at the foot of Mount Lushan, boasts a history of 2,200 years and has many scenic spots including the Yangtz River and Boyang Lake. Two airports will be set in Jiujiang city and a third is to be built at the north gate of Lushan Mountain. The project will buy two commercial helicopters, each with a capacity of 20 passengers. Each air tourist will be charged between US$12 to 36. |
