Travel Warning
|
11-Feb-2002 - |
With the weeklong Spring Festival holiday starting tomorrow, the Shanghai Consumers' Association is again warning the public of bogus travel agencies and guides, particularly those involved in overseas travel. The association said only five agencies in Shanghai are licensed to conduct foreign travel tours. They are Shanghai China Travel Service Corp., Shanghai China International Travel Service Co., Shanghai China CYTS Tours Corp., Shanghai Jinjiang Tours Co. and Shanghai Huating Overseas Tourist Co. The association also warns tourists of unlicensed guides who prey on those looking for cheap deals and trick them into buying fake or low-quality souvenirs, renege on travel promises, including vehicles and hotels, besides offering meals that could lead to food poisoning. |
