World Carnival Opens in Beijing Friday

Beijingers are set to welcome an entertainment extravaganza as the world-famous mobile amusement park, World Carnival, opens Friday. The two-month fiesta will be held in the International Sculpture Park in west Beijing. Up to 40 thousand visitors a day are expected. They will come to enjoy some 130 thrilling rides, games, shows and other attractions, as well as great food and drink. The carnival was held in Shanghai last summer, attracting 2.2 million visitors, and in Hong Kong in 2002. |
