Mulan Lake scenic spot will reopen to public in September 2006 after seven months of expansion construction.
The investment of expansion construction reached 30 million Yuan (US$3.75 million) and the scenic spot was enlarged to 800 hectares from original 320 hectares
Mulan Lake, located in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province, is the hometown of Hua Mulan, an elegant woman of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 317-420). She disguised herself as a man so she could go to war to protect her country. |
