The CITS Hotel, Guangdong (Tourist Hotel) is located at the eastern square of the train station. It is a 3-star hotel newly opened in 1999. Around it there are big commodity markets, Chinese export product fair, airport ticket selling, Guangdong tourism bureau holiday, Caonuan park. The hotel is a big asset to the Guangdong Tourism Bureau. It runs the Guangzhou City Youth Hotel, which is a chain hotel under Hostelling International. Though it is not a luxury hotel by any means, the clean guestrooms and warm staff will certainly make your stay very comfortable. Airport shuttle bus station available just next to the hotel.

The Guangdong Tourist Hotel has 180 total rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with IDD telephone and color TV. The hotel's rooms have private bathrooms, but the Youth Hostel's rooms share public bathrooms.

Very simple hotel in a great location. Very clean and confortable, great for its price. Eployees spoke basic English, which is good.

Very dissapointed with the hotel air-conditioning slept on Sunday nite with portable fan, unacceptable by standard not value for money. Complain to staff about the air- condition that night got a very unprofessional response.

Hotel is located in good location ,near subway ,near crh train go to Shenzhen and near shopping center. But hotel front officer unfriendly and disrespectful to the customer. And sometime I want for helping but no one support me.

Breakfast was not booked. Good location near Rail way station, Subway, Bus terminals and Airport Express Line1 terminal. Rooms are small, no place for bags. Near hotel there are many fast-food points. In general - good. We book late check-out without problem.

We were given the very small room the 1st night(we paid for a room with 2 beds), We did not do anything as we check in at around 0130hr mid-night and we were very tired. Next morning, they allow us to change to bigger room but it look very old. for the newer room, we need to pay additional CNY50. The hotel don't provide newspaper, no writting pad, no mineral water,no bathtub and no cable vision(only CCTV1-9). It is good if you are looking for cheap clothing near-by or taking train.

No refrigerator and save deposit box in the room. the single bed is large.

I found it very good. I would have no hesitation of staying there again. I wanted to stay near a railway station but did not know that the HK train arrives at the East station. I am glad I did not stay near it because there is nothing around it in which towhile away time, therefore my choice was perfect althought the area was seething with humanity becuse of the Chinese New Year
