All very good except the following points 1) would be great if you can provide some indication of staff's knowledge of English, as the reception staff barely spoke any English and had trouble in communicating. 2) also will be great if nearby restaurants location/address can be provided, at least like McDonalds / halal Food / Vegetarian food outlet, I could not find any halal/Vegetarian eatery nearby and almost starved without any food. 3) only bad experience was by the bell boy who would not accept the tip i tried to give him(he actually wanted more, probably 50RMB) when i carried my own bags till the room and his only help was guiding me towards the room. 4) Information regarding availability of WiFi/Internet would be great as i could catch hotels wifi signals but reception staff did not understand the words Internet/WiFi password and they only stared at me when i asked them for wifi password. rest of the experience was VERY GOOD A+ and pricing of the room was Exceptionally competitive.

This hotel is a rococo pink palace built prior the commies taking over. It is laid out like Versailles with large banquet rooms, a pool area in the middle with euro looking marble statues everywhere. The large chandeliers in the 20 foot high ceilinged dining room are crystal and there is a lot of gilded trim. Must have an interesting history. My room was in a newer wing and although nice enough it was so cold I was immediately in bed with my clothes on. No one speaks English at this hotel or at the airport. I paid ten times the going rate to the hotel and the going rate back to the airport as there is no regulation of taxis there. I made the mistake of going in the january thinking it would be a bit cooler than SE Asia where I had been traveling as it was north and in the mountains. It was close to freezing with a lot of rain. The room had no heat. 1 restaurant and no one spoke English. I thought I was going to travel through to Dali but decided to bail and go back to Vientiane and try again in the spring or summer

no air conditioning, no one to ask to help taking bags down the stairs.

No one spoke English....no heat in the room in a very cold time.........no hot water............Bad experience although the staff tried to help with no knowledge of English
