The Guilin zone is rich of beautiful caves. Nanxi Hill is situated about one kilometer away from the railway station, in the south of Guilin. The east and west peaks of the Hill are of great height and they offer a spectacular view. While most of the hills in Guilin are dark green, Nanxi Hill is coloured with white. There are many exceptional caves including Liu Xian Cave and White Dragon Cave. The earliest explorer of Nanxi Hill was the Inspector Libo of Tang Dynasty and he liked these caves so much that he carved his poem named "Farewell Nanxi" in one of the caves.
Guilin Crown Cave is situated in Grassland Town, southern zone of Guilin. The cave gets its name from its form, because it looks like a crown. It has a large gate facing Li River and the cave stream enters into Li River. The cave is divided into four caves connected with each other. There are stalagmite and stalactite and many delicious points with spacious and bright effects. It is possible also sail into the cave from Li River. If you travel in a boat on the Li River, you will see the wonderful scenery of the Crown Cave , after about two hours sailing from Guilin to Yangshuo, Looking outside you can have a full view of the hanging stalactite, with purple mist which creates a charming ambience in this cave.
