The long-awaited Beijing International Dance Festival kicked off at the Poly Theatre on Dec.12. It comes hot on the heels of this year's Beijing Drama Festival and Symphony Festival. As the opening of the Beijing International Dance Festival, "Romance and Greatness" presented the most attractive parts of past performances, in the hope that success will once again favor the Oriental Song and Dance Ensemble. More and more Chinese people are regarding the arts as a positive way to wind down after a week of hard work. The show runs through Dec. 22. |
