China, Iceland Sign Tourism MOU
|
13-Apr-2004 - |
China and Iceland signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Beijing on Monday on visa and travel matters for Chinese group tours to Iceland. Experts cited the MOU as a crucial measure to expand group travel to European destinations for Chinese citizens, further promoting bilateral exchanges and signifying that China was becoming increasingly open in the outbound tourism market. The exact date for Chinese travel agencies to allow organized tour groups to travel to Europe is yet to be finalized. China and European nations which have already signed MOUs are busy exchanging travel agency name lists and preparing business contracts. When all preparations are completed, group tours can be launched. China has already approved 57 nations for group Chinese tours with 41 nations having signed MOUs and 26 already in operation. |
