BEIJING, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Vice President Xi Jinping said on Saturday that security should be the top priority when providing service for guests coming to the Beijing Olympics.
Xi, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said providing good service for the Games requires full implementation of security measures.

"It's necessary to carry out an exercise on the whole process of services for the arrival, departure, room and board of our Olympic guests, discover the loopholes and problems in each area and make relevant adjustments," he said, after examining a track traffic line to the Beijing Capital International Airport, the No.3 terminal at the airport and the Olympic Village.
At about 9:00 a.m., Xi went to the downtown Dongzhimen station of the track traffic line, purchased a ticket and test rode the new line to Terminal 3 of the airport.

He heard a report on the airport's preparations for the athletes and charter flights for foreign delegations.
He next went to the Olympic Village and inspected the Head of Village Office, the Flag Square, restaurants, rooms for religious activities and athletes' apartments.
He urged the staff to work with enthusiasm and do their utmost to ensure good service, so as to leave a good impression on competitors and guests.
"You should understand athletes' and guests' demands, fully respect their cultural backgrounds, customs, religions and characteristics, and provide warm, considerate and comfortable service, making them feel at home," he said.
