|
17-Mar-2005 - People's Daily |
The Chinese aviation market is the most vigorous one in the world, said Boeing Commercial Airplanes Director of Product and Service Marketing Randy Tinseth in Beijing March 16. In 2004 the Chinese civil aviation transported 121 mln passengers, up 38 percent as against 2003. Randy Tinseth predicts the number of flight course in China will rise by 11 percent; number of destinations will increase 4 percent; number of airports will grow 5 percent, and plane number is to soar 17 percent. The privately-run airline companies will be more vigorous as policy loosens. Randy Tinseth predicts the airplane team of China will be four times as big as the present one in next 20 years. The number of airliners will exceed 2,800 by 2023. There are 777 airliners in China, 74 percent of them single-aisle airliner. The cooperation between China and Boeing has gone far beyond sales of new airplanes. Many aspects including improvement of safety, reliability and efficiency, enhancement of profit making and management ability are involved. |
