Experts Discuss Beijing's Olympic Traffic

Over 100 Chinese and foreign experts in urban traffic gathered here recently to discuss Beijing 's traffic services during the 2008 Olympic Games. The experts said that the city's traffic should be improved according to its overall urban development and in line with the needs of the Beijing Olympic Games so that safe and fast traffic services will be offered. Beijing Vice-mayor Liu Jingmin said in a written address that Beijing needs to increase investment to its infrastructure and build an intelligent traffic system. The vice-mayor expressed the hope that the traffic forum will bring about suggestion favorable to improving Beijing's traffic situation. |
