Flight Centre corporate launches in Beijing

(www.travelweeklyeast.com 2004-08-04) The international rollout of Flight Centre Limited's new corporate travel brand, FCm Travel Solutions, has kicked off with the opening of the first FCm branded agency in China. The Beijing-based agency, a joint venture between Flight Centre Limited and China's third largest travel agency group, China Comfort Travel Co, became the first FCm Travel Solutions business when it opened its doors today. An amalgamation of Flight Centre's core business travel brands, FCm Travel Solutions will be the first Asia/Pacific based global travel management company and the largest corporate travel brand based in Australasia. FCm global general manager Anthony Grigson said FCm in Beijing would provide a new level of business travel service to the burgeoning Chinese business market. This is a strategic partnership that will enable us to provide a complete business travel service for companies in China and other regions, and deliver an improved service for our existing clients with operations in these areas, Grigson said. It will also enhance our ability to secure new global corporate travel accounts. Flight Centre will extend the brand's international reach by strategic acquisition and licensing FCm to independent operators in key overseas markets. Licensees will be selected in the Asia/Pacific region, the UK-Europe-Middle East-Africa region and the Americas. The opening of FCm agencies in Shanghai and Hong Kong within the next two months will follow the launch of FCm in Beijing. |
