Gary Payton says U.S. to bring gold back

?BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Two-time Olympic basketball gold medalist Gary Payton believed the United States would bring the gold back at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
"The three who lost it were LeBrone (James), D (Dwyane)-Wade and Carmelo Anthony, they're going to play well. They're really going to have a chip on their shoulder and I think they're going to bring the gold back," Payton was quoted as saying by the official website of the USA Basketball on Sunday.
Payton was a member of the 1996 and 2000 U.S. Olympic squad when they won both. The U.S. team finished third at the 2004 Athens Games.
"That's a great honor. I had the opportunity to do it twice. When you win gold medals, nobody can take that away from you. You can take that to your grandchildren and say 'look, your grandfather won a gold medal.' If they do that, that's going to be one of the things that they remember forever."
The U.S. team will open the preliminary round with a match against host China on August 10. They are grouped with world champion Spain and runner-up Greece, Germany and Angola, in Group B.
