NTA to Close Six International Travel Agencies
|
23-Mar-2002 - |
The National Tourism Administration (NTA) has revoked the business licenses of six China-based international travel agencies, an official from NTA said in Beijing. It is the first time for NTA to revoke so many business licenses at one time during its annual check, he said. The six agencies, including the Three Gorges International Travel Agency, Huawen Int'l Travel Agency, Quanlian Int'l Travel Agency, Landscape Int'l Travel Agency, Zhongtang Int'l Travel Agency and Beijing Stars Int'l Travel Agency, lost their licenses for their bad-run business status and management disorder. Meanwhile, NTA also gave warnings to seven other travel agencies which overstepped their business limits, he added. The official noted that NTA is going to hold a meeting in Beijing for 65 travel agencies, which hold special certificates for arranging overseas trips, later this month to strengthen management on trips to Southeast Asia. Any cheating and unreliable actions on customers by travel agencies will lead to the revoking of business licenses, he said. |
