New tourist packages to follow Olympic torch

The 2008 Beijing Olympics flame will be lit in Greece at the end of this month. Many Chinese travel agencies have promoted new routes covering the 22 overseas cities that the sacred fire will pass.
Travel agencies say the tour package will depart one to three days before the flame arrive in the target city, and they have begun accepting bookings as of the end of February. The agents say New Delhi, Normandy and San Francisco are the most popular cities.
Travel agencies say most of the cities that the torch will pass are in comfortable season for tourists. And the Olympic package price is 10 percent higher than usual ones as there will be some special designs for the tourists. |
