Baoshan Airport and Baoshan FlightsAirport Code: BSD Name Airport: Baoshan Airport Baoshan dam is located in the southern end of Baoshan Dam. It is 9km from Longyang District ,Baoshan City. The airport was built in 1929. It is a military airport, which is the main landing airport for famous "Hump route" , which has made a significant contribution to the War against Japan.
On April 1, 1958, Baoshan Airport was formally established, which is the first local civilian airport approved by National Civil Aviation Administration of China . On May 1990, due to the outdating of the aircrafts, it was closed and began its expansion. On June 1994, it resumed the service and the airport flight area became 4C grade level, allowing the landing of Boeing 737-300 or other aircraft type below.
At present, Baoshan Airport has opened air routes to Kunming with a range of 364km. In addition to common flights, the terminal also assumed aerial reforestation, forest aviation, aerial photography, aerial mapping, parachuting flight mission and other missions. It has 46 years of safety flight record.
