Dazhou, Heshiba Airport is a feeder airports under the charge of Sichuan Airport Group with the headquarter in Shuangliu International Airport.
Dazhou, Heshiba Airport was founded in 1940 and has been carried out third expansion. It covers an area of 1336 mu, with a runway of 2000 meters in length and 45 meters in width. The apron area is 130 meters × 60 meters and the terminal covers an area of 2131 square meters. It is designed to handle 200 persons at the peak-hour . It is installed with assistant lights, instruments of landing systems, automated weather observing systems and so on. On January 13th, 2006, after the expansion of the airport, it was put into operation. Air China A319 model operates the routes to Guangzhou, Chengdu, Beijing.
In 2006, it has handled 554 flights ,15,000 passengers with an average Seat kilometer utilization of higher than 75%. In 2007, the output of passengers is expected to exceed 50,000. According to market demand, it is to open the flights to Shenzhen, Shanghai, Kunming, Jinan, Zhengzhou, flights and other places.
