It is located in the Southwest of Fuyang City, only about nine kilometers from the city center. Xiguan airport is one of the first three airports in Anhui Province and it is the latest airport having full extension. This airport is Put into service in 1958. In February of 1998, it is expanded but stopped in 2005. In December of 2007, it is put into use again.
This airport is designed with 4D standard, and constructed with 4C level. It has a runway 2400 meters long and 60 meters wide. The apron is more than 40,000 square meters. It could hold 600 people every hour.
