Kuche Airport and Kuqa FlightsAirport Code: KCA Name Airport: Kuche Airport Kuche Airport was built in 1939. It is one of the earliest airports in Xinjiang. On September 14, 1998, it was suspended. After the implementation of the western development strategy, the state invested 27.99 million yuan for the comprehensive transformation of the airport.
The resuming of Kuche Airport has played a positive role in the economical development and social stability in Kuche county.
At present, there are routes of Urumqi - Kuqa – Urumqi, three flights a week. The passengers are mainly from the oil sector, foreign tourism, local government departments.
Kuche Airport is located in the northeast of Kuche County ,2.1 kilometers from the county center. The airport flight zone is 3C,allowing the landing of ATR-72 and other types of aircrafts below. Kuqa airport was built in 1939, belong to the earliest airports in Xinjiang.
