Panzhihua is a civilian airport in Sichaun. As one of the important subjects of government bonds, by the end of November 2003 the government has invest 1.08 billion. On June 28, 2000 it started the main construction and was completed after four years. It is located 1976 meters above sea level on the slopes. The airport flight zone is 4C with a runway of 2800 meters in length, allowing the landing of Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and other models.
