Yinchuan Hedong Airport and Yinchuan FlightsAirport Code: INC Name Airport: Yinchuan Hedong Airport Accommodation: Yinchuan Hotels Yinchuan Hedong Airport is an airport in Yinchuan, Ningxia, People’s Republic of China. It is located 25km (16 miles) east of the city of Yinchuan in Linhe County.
Yinchuan Hedong Airport is the only civilian airport in Ningxia[1]. It is a relatively small airport compared to many airports in China however it is the autonomous region's main aviation gateway. Its name Hedong meaning "East of the River" literally derived from the fact that the airport is located east of the Yellow River. It is presently connected to over 20 cities by either direct flights, or transferring in Xian and Beijing. The terminal building covers a total area of 15,000 sq m (3.7 acres). Its annual capacity of handling 819,000 passengers is to be improved by a new expansion under consideration.
Hedong Airport is located in Linhe village, Linwu city, near Yellow River,19 kilometers from Yinchan City, covering an area of 5560 mu. On November 28, 1995, the State Council and Central Military Commission officially approved the construction of Hedong Airport, with a total investment of 5.4 billion yuan. The airport is 4D-level with a runway of 3200 meters in length, 45 meters in width. It allows the landing of Boeing 747 (load shedding). The apron of the airport covers an area of 50,000 square meters. There are two contact taxiway, 9 parking bays and corresponding fuel supply system and the airport paddock, Wai community, flood control facilities. Since it was officially put into use On December 26, 2000, it has established four passenger loading bridges which have been put into use gradually.
