Water is the soul of Lijiang. The Brook and Bridge Inn is located right next to the clear Yuhe River and the famous southern gate bridge of Lijiang. The river runs along our lovely and peaceful courtyard, from where you can see its clear water calmly flowing by. Our courtyard is a great place to enjoy the year-round sunshine, read books, drink tea, use the Internet, feed the fish, and listen to the sound of the stream. Sometimes you can see local children come to the river to catch fish, which gives you a unique look into local customs. The Brook and Bridge Inn opened in January 2008 and is conveniently located in the old town, only a five-minute walk from Square Street. Our inn is decorated in traditional Naxi style. The Brook and Bridge Inn is an ideal place for you to escape the hustle and bustle of the big cities and relax in a pleasant and homely atmosphere. We accept bookings from travel agencies and we can organise tours and book flight tickets for you. We are looking forward to seeing you in our Brook and Bridge Inn!

There are 12 spacious deluxe rooms, a leisure room, and a big kitchen. All the rooms are tastefully designed with traditional Chinese furniture. You can also use the wireless internet service and make calls to every Chinese city free. When you sit at the corridor on the second floor, you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance. You can see and hear the clear river from almost every room.

The hotel is very well designed in old traditional chinese, great location as I can get the feeling to be part of the ancient chinese with morning activities seeing people trade in the market and kids go to school, a walk away to the shopping alley/food stalls before ending at the Square street. The bad thing is the host doesnt speak english well, and mostly all those local Lijiang people. They charged me RMB 50 for train pick up, and give me free transfer to the airport since I stayed there for 3 nights. Need quite some time to have the hot water pour down from the tap while it's cold during winter. The aircon didnt work well, but electric bed help us sleep well in winter nights. Will stay there again when I'm back in spring/summer.
