No hot water in the afternoon. TV was difficult to operate. No bell boy to carry luggage. Bad service. Luckily we booked for only one night and moved to a better hotel for 5 more nights.

The hotel is in a very good location, so it was very convenient to walk in the old town. The courtyard is very nice, and it was nice to be able to sit outside our room and enjoy the quiet, the breeze, the atmosphere and relax after all the walking. However, we were not happy with the following, considering this is a 4 star hotel: 1) there was a smell in the room, which we think came from the dried flowers in the toilet, which we asked to be removed. 2) the lighting in the toilet was very, very poor. 3) the toilet roll was placed too low behind the toilet seat. 4) the water leaks from the bath and wet the whole toilet when we bathe. 5) the towels do not feel fresh. 6) the complimentary fruits, bread and milk were a very nice gesture. However, the fruits could have been better selected. The bananas given to us on the first day looked like it is rotting, black skin and all. 7) breakfast was not fantastic. The milk and orange juice were very diluted. However, due to the location, we would love to go back to stay in the hotel when we next visit Lijiang. Hope that the toilet would be very much improved when we next visit. Despite not being happy with the toilet in the hotel, we enjoyed our holiday in Lijiang very much. thank you Mr & Mrs Chua

We were very satisfied with this hotel. The location is perect - taxi access from the airport is convenient but it is only about 100 m from the north end of the old town. The staff were very friendly but spoke little English. We strongly recommend this hotel.
