It was a Nice Hotel, just the breakfast could be better, because it was only Chinese taste there, and a Hotel will serve Various people,not just Chinese!So could be better.

the room is very dirty smily. Not a good place to stay. In addition no body speek english not even basic communication.

We booked 3 persons for a double room through this website but when we reached they not allowed. They insisted that they don't have 3 persons room. Needed us to upgrade it or add extra fee for a person. It cost RMB50. They promised to send us the necessaries but they just sent for one time for the third guest. Beside this, we had informed them about our stay and also paid the deposit for two nights. But the card system still were not able to open. Needed to reactivate.

We had a great stay here, however we had to phone them at 23:00 at night because there had been no towels in our room. But it was good overall and the location is great.

Excellent view of the pearl river. If you want to be away from hustle of the city but still be in a exclusive location in the city this is the place. Good clean hotel. The floor was carpet free and although not wood or high quality it was a relief as the carpets are usually not well maintained in even 5 star hotels. The hotel room I had was on 10th floor in the West Building and had almost a 200 degrees view of the river and excellent atmosphere. Don't expect frills here and the staff barely understands you. Still, the place is worth it for the atmosphere.

This hotel is in a good location across road from river and about 15 minutes walk from nearest MTR station. Although the building is old there are a huge no. of rooms in this hotel. I only stayed in West building in small single room which was tidy but a bit dated in terms of decour and furnishings but increadible good value for the price. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak quite good English. Porter will take your bags to your room as well. Although on busy road road noise was not a problem on the higher floors. Overall good value for the internet price.

Hotel is old enough, our room demands renovation. It would be desirable to open a window, but all windows were blocked. The hotel is located far enough from metro station (500-700 m). If you have notebook, you will have free Internet access in room via Ethernet (cable is in the room). If not, Internet access is not free (4 CNY per minute) and available on reception. At all the rest this is a good place. Staff is friendly and professional. There are currency exchange and ticket booking on reception, free shuttle bus to Lianhuashan ferry terminal (to Hong Kong). Safe is available in room. It is very important in Guangzhou.

negativ: it was very cold in the hotel. Why didn't they switch out the air condition as it was cold outside anyway? The "warm" function of the air condition inside the room did not work, so it was fairly cold. Apart from that we have been very satisfied and would go there again!
