Mao Zedong and Zhu De created the first rural revolutionary base in Jian.

Located in the Wenshan Park of Jian County town 10 kilometers from Jian, the memorial hall was built in 1948. Wen Tianxiang was a famous official and writer of the Southern Song Dynasty. The hall is an architecture molded from the Song Dynasty. Displayed in the hall is life story, historic remains, original handwritings and works of Wen Tianxiang.

Jinggangshan Scenic Are:

Located in the middle part of Luoxiao Mountain Range on the borders of Jiangxi and Hunan provinces, Mt Jinggang with range upon range of mountains and dimly discernible clouds and mist rises abruptly from its central part. In October 1927 the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops led by Mao Zedong marched to Mt Jinggang and set up the first rural revolutionary base.

Former Residence of Mao Zedong:

From October 1927 to January 1929, Mao Zedong lived there. In February 1929 the house was burnt by the Kuomintang reactionaries and was repaired by the local government in 1961. Articles used by Mao Zedong and Zhu De are displayed in the residence.

Huangyangjie Post:

Huangyangjie Post, one of the five sentry posts of Mt Jinggang with an elevation of 1,343 meters, is located 17 kilometers northwest of Ciping. The post is strategically situated and difficult of access. The famous Huangyangjie defending battle happened there.

Dragon Pond:

Located seven kilometers northwest of Ciping the Dragon Pond is also called the Five-Dragon Pond because the water of Wushen River flows swiftly over the mountain rocks five times, resulting in the five ladder-shaped waterfalls and deep ponds.

Wuzhi(Five-Finger):

Situated on the southern side of Mt Jinggang, the five peaks, looking like five fingers, stand side by side, hence acquiring the name. The peaks are the main one of Mt Jinggang and also are the image representative of Mt Jinggang. Inside the scenic spot are diversified hills and peaks, crisscross ravines and gullies, flying waterfalls and animals and plants. It is a primitive scenic spot with hills, water, woods, caves, birds and animals. The reverse side of 100 Yuan RMB issued in 1980 is the Wuzhu Peak.
