Yingtan covering an area of 137 square kilometers and with a population of
150,000, is situated northeast of Jiangxi. The city of Guixi and Yujiang County are
under its jurisdiction. Main scenic spots include Mt Longhu. Special products embrace
Guixi wick cake, mushroom, phytin, Tianshi Chinese chestnut and bamboo products.
Longhushan Scenic Area:
Located 20 kilometers south of Yingtan. Mt Longhu is a noted Taoist mountain in south China. The scenic zone consists of 99 peaks and 66 exceedingly beautiful scenic spots. Tianshi Mansion and Shangqing Palace in Shangqing town were the sites where Taoist master lived and Taoist activities were held in history Liukeng.
Hanging Coffins:
Xianshui Cliff is a major scenic spot on Mt Longhu. Over 100 hanging coffins of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Period of Warring States in the ledges on the precipice caves are one of the world's wonders. The mystery of the hanging coffins on the cliff is yet to be resolved.
Xianshui Rock:
Xianshui Rock, collectively called immortal and water rocks, is a tourist zone with concentrated scenic spots. The water rock is known for its blue water and red hills. Here are grotesque rocks with adjoining mountains and rivers. Ten scenic spots include the Female Celestial Rock, Buddhist Monk and Nun Peak and Xiantao Rock.
