It is the best preserved large imperial garden located at the western suburban of Beijing that fronts water and possesses hills, with beautiful and diverse styles. It is a great masterpiece that integrates the gardening arts of southern and northern China and is also one of the most famous royal gardens in the world.
The octahedral Tower of Buddhist Incense is the center of the whole garden buildings that was built by following the Pagoda of Six Harmonies at Hangzhou on a stone base of 20 meter high in three story with 4 double-eves. Its total height is 40 meters and 8 lignumvitae trunks serve as the powerful pillars.
The structure is sophisticated and status is magnificent. Visitors may fully overview the Kunming Lake and enchanting scenes tens kilometers away from the Pagoda. The long corridor in the garden as the longest one in China is a painting gallery and the corridor of interests famous at home and abroad.
Pagoda of Precious Cloud (Copper Pavilion) is the rare treasure completely built with copper parts. There are a marble boat-Qingyanfang, Garden of Harmonious Interests-a garden inside the garden, Suzhou Street, gilt bronze ox, 17-opening Bridge and other scenes scattering at the garden
