China National Silk Museum.

occupies an area of 10, 000 square meters with altogether eight exhibition halls: the prologue, historical cultural silk relics, folk custom, sericulture, filature, silk weaving, dyeing and printing, and modern achievements. It is a national special museum with high level. It tells the silk history in china during the 5, 000 years.

China National Tea Museum

is composed of four buildings with a total construction area of 3, 100 square meter. The museum has five exhibition halls. On display are the history of tea, the varieties and distribution of tea in China, various tea utensils used in the old dynasties, tea-drinking habits in different parts of China wilt tea-related culture, and the scientific and technological aspects of tea-making and processing.

Huqingyu Tang Traditional Chinese

Medicine Museum-is the only one of this kind in China. It was set up by Master Hu Xueyan in 1874. The 100-year-old architecture is finely preserved and is the cultural heritage of the country. It has wide collection of voluble traditional Chinese medicine samples, animal specimen, a workshop and a do-it- you self hall as well as a medicine cuisine restaurant.

Hangzhu Southern Song Dynasty

Imperial kiln Museum* is located at the Wugui Hill by southern foot of the Jade Emporer Hill Opening to the public in Oct, 1992, It covers an area of more than 3, 400 square meter. Based on the unearthed relic site, of former kiln it is the first special kiln museum in the country, the exhibition hall displays the five famous kilns in the Song Dynasty, and introduces, systematically, the developing history of pottery and porcelain in ancient China, as well as the style, the base glazing features, the technology of the porcelain articles from the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Kiln.

Liangzhu Museum

locates 17 kilometers northwest of Hangzhou, near Liangzhu Town in Yuhang County. Built in 1994, the museum tells the development on ecologic environment, utensils and tombs.

 

Zhejiang Museum. Founded in 1929,

Zhejiang Museum is located at the southern foot of Solitary Hill and faces West Lake. Historical objects excavated and collected from various places are important exhibits of the museum. Among the exhibits of the museum are objects unearthed among the relics of Hemudu, Yuyao county, Zhejiang Province to show a primitive village found in existence 4, 000 to 7, 000 years ago. Black pottery, jade wares and silk fabrics unearthed among the relics of Liangzhu, and pottery wares, bronze wares, antique coins, tablets and handicraft articles since Shang and Zhou Dynasties are on display in the exhibition.
